In addition, you can get your book in hard copy and electronic format in the most popular formats. – fb2, epub, mobi, pdf.. To avoid any misunderstandings, we must agree that these are two separate products.
0. Editorial Office
We recommend that you go through a screening process with the editor before you start submitting your book, who, after consulting with you, will remove or correct possible stylistic misunderstandings, discrepancies in the content, logic, and chronology of the plot. If you don't have such a professional in mind, we can recommend you a person we've already worked with.
1. Preliminary discussion
Earlier, to provide us with your script or file, it is good to clarify it, how you present your future book, what your preferences are, with what binding to see it, in what format and circulation you consider it published, whether you have "your" publishing house.
Typically, we work on design, prepress, preparation and printing, and do not deal with distribution and sales. We can only offer you the name of our company as a publisher and order you an ISBN.
2. Preparation of illustrations (if any)
Illustrations include photos, drawings, diagrams, diagrams, tables, graphs, and more. If the illustrations are for fiction, the author marks the pages (chapters) that the illustrations need, and it's also good to share how to present them. Based on these descriptions, we prepare images that the author approves or disapproves of (we provide 3 options to choose from).
If you plan to publish special books (educational, technical, scientific research, etc.), as a rule, the author himself prepares the illustrations, and we only correct them and format them to be suitable for printing. If you don't have this option, we will prepare them for you.
3. Page layout and text fill
After all the points on the text and illustrations have been agreed with the author, we proceed to the layout of the book. Layout is the process of choosing a font and style, aligning text, drawings, and various graphic objects in the form that will be presented in the finished book. We are working with Adobe Indesign for this purpose. This program develops headers, footers, illustrations, graphs, footnotes, and content.
Some authors make their own book layout in Word, but this program does not support printing standards, so most often everything must be reworked.
4. Create a printout (or electronic file)
It will be carefully reviewed and from us possible design errors and non-compliance and grammatical errors. Once you've deducted it and applied your corrections, we're ready to start the first proofreading.
5. First proofreading
After you reflect the target adjustments, we will provide you with the source file for inspection.
6. Second (and last) proofreading
Of course, we are not fanatics, and if necessary, we will correct something else, but do not abuse too good hearts.
7. Cover art
We provide you with the option to choose from 3 options if you are not ready for a quarter of a month.
8. Print
If you didn't respond quickly enough, you may get your books still warm from the print shop.
